Introduction to BI export
Engage's BI (business intelligence) export functionality allows our clients to export data, enabling it to be analyzed with third party tools. Using these separate data stores, Engage's data can then be combined with other sources, allowing for deeper and more flexible analysis.
Exports are performed once per day during the night. The exact time is configurable in the Engage back-end. Talk to your implementation manager or CSM if you want to make changes to the schedule. The exported files will appear on Engage's internal FTP-server, from where you can fetch them and import them into a third party tool.
Warning
The Engage FTP server should only be used for transfer of BI export files and NOT for storage. Files older than 180 days are removed by housekeeping jobs.
