It’s possible to link directly to the contact card of a specific individual in the Customer Engagement frontend. This is called “deep linking”. This saves many steps for customer agents when they need to search for a specific individual, or when they want to point someone else to a specific contact’s details. The URL you will use has this form:

  • client: Your specific client / tenant name (acme, megashop or whatever)
  • contactId: The contact ID for the contact you’re linking to (GUID)
Note that the “00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000” part is required for this to work.

You can now copy and share the URL you’ve created, allowing anyone who is logged into your Customer Engagement frontend to go directly to this contact’s information.
