Order segmentation (targeting)

Order segmentation allows retailers to see if a contact has an ongoing order and the items on that order. This is useful to be able to exclude contacts from targeting campaigns or to target contacts who have an ongoing order.

To take advantage of order segmentation, the retailer's instance of Engage must have migrated to the star schema, which is an enhanced version of the targeting engine. Once migrated to the star schema, it is important that the retailer’s article registry in Engage is updated with the article information that the retailer wants to segment on (category, brand, color, size, etc).
